NYU Center for Dialogues Founder and Director Mustapha Tlili appeared on Press TV’s “Hearts and Minds”, a weekly talk show that focuses on American foreign policy and the challenges that the United States faces abroad, on November 24 to discuss U.S. relations with Syria today and in the future. He joined the program’s host, journalist and best-selling author Alan Weisman; Alon Ben-Meir, Senior Fellow at NYU’s School of Global Affairs; and David Andelman, Editor of the World Policy Journal, for an engaged and stimulating discussion.

Tlili’s comments focused on the need to consider all issues of the Middle East as inter-connected, and not to separate Syria from related issues like the Israel-Palestine conflict, the position of Iran as a power broker in the region, or the influence of Saudi Arabia. He noted that previous attempts to treat each issue in isolation have all failed, and suggested that the new U.S. administration learn from the past and begin addressing the Middle East with a comprehensive approach.

Press TV is an international 24-hour news channel that reaches audiences around the world and particularly in the Middle East with content-focused, substantive coverage of global issues.
